Head of School Welcome
Welcome to The Well School, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our community, nestled in the beautiful Monadnock region of New Hampshire.
When you arrive on campus for a visit or make the decision to enroll your child at The Well, you will meet a dedicated faculty and staff, students who are engaged in their learning, and hear about an educational curriculum that honors our history and welcomes the future.
While The Well School is relatively young in the world of independent day schools, we are deeply rooted in meaningful relationships, time-honored traditions, and a strong sense of community. We take great pride in nurturing the growth and development of each of our students—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Whether you're visiting our campus or considering enrollment, you'll find a welcoming environment filled with dedicated faculty and staff, curious and engaged students, and an educational experience steeped in joy and focused on healthy learning. During your visit on campus, it is quite likely that you will witness our Pre-K students playing outside, embracing the weather regardless of the season, and learning how to support each other in a play-based environment. Walking through our Lower School you will be met with a warm greeting, laughter and may well be invited to join our fourth graders as they walk to pick up their Pre-K buddies for a special meeting time. Our Upper School students will welcome you into their classrooms where you may be stumped by a math problem, be introduced to Latin phrases, and observe as our eighth graders prepare to host our all-school meeting on Friday afternoons.
At The Well School, we build a strong academic foundation while nurturing a deep appreciation for the natural world and the value of outdoor play. We celebrate the creative spirit in every child through music, art, and theater, fostering well-rounded individuals who are not only scientists, engineers, and writers, but also actors, poets, and musicians. Our learning environment encourages students to embrace the unknown, and in doing so, they develop confidence and the ability to advocate for themselves.
Come Visit The Well and experience our community first hand by:

And if you arrive on a Friday morning, don’t miss our homemade sweet treats made especially for our parents!
We can’t wait to welcome you!
Warmly,
