The Well School
Your support of the Annual Fund is critical to the lasting success of The Well School. The fiscal year goes from July 1 through June 30, and our goals are to both grow the Annual Fund and also to significantly increase participation among all our constituents. Every gift counts, in any amount!
The Annual Fund is essential because, as you may know, the cost of tuition alone does not cover the full expense of a Well School education.
Contributions to the Annual Fund are a vital source of revenue for the School and immediately go into the School's operating budget, directly supporting people—our faculty, staff, and students alike—and our most pressing needs, from everyday supplies to financial aid to campus maintenance.
The Annual Fund allows our teachers and staff to do their best work and our students to have a full and formative Well School experience, providing them with a solid foundation for the future.

We continue to focus fundraising efforts on areas of crucial need, including faculty and staff compensation and building upgrades.
Faculty & Staff Compensation
As The Well has evolved from a family owned run school to a stand-alone institution, the continuity of the School is preserved by its faculty and teaching staff. We are fortunate to have professional teachers who are dedicated and passionate educators. Today, of our 23 full- and part-time faculty members, 60% have teaching certifications and 52% have advanced degrees, when at one time these roles were often filled by parents and volunteers. We also have additional highly experienced professionals on staff. Although this fundamental shift has changed the financial model of the school, compensation has remained stagnant overall. We are working to remedy this in order to retain the caliber of employees we have at The Well and attract new highly qualified candidates. Meeting our Annual Fund goals will allow us to budget annual pay increases for our current faculty and staff.
We have accomplished a great deal in the past few years but there is lots more to do! Updating our flooring, painting, and regular maintenance are all items on the to-do list. In addition, larger projects loom in the not-so-distant future: roof repairs, airflow improvements, and energy-saving upgrades.
