 | The Art and Adventure Day Camp gives young people ages 6 to 12 the chance learn and grow while milking every last drop of fun, excitement and adventure from the summer! Each camp session runs for two weeks. Sessions for older campers include a campout the during first week and a family evening during the second week.

A Summer Sampler: Acting, Art and Adventure Camp! June 28 through July 9, 2010 M-F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m
Two weeks of summer fun for the camper who wants to do everything! Actor, teacher, and director Jenn Miller will help campers develop their acting and singing skills. She’ll lead theater games and activities, provide voice and acting coaching, and help the campers produce three small-group improvisation pieces to perform on stage for the end-of-camp family night. Well School art teacher Ra Eldredge will help campers produce and install a number of beautiful pieces for the camp art museum and their home galleries. Camp director Amy Wilson will lead hikes, games, crafts, swimming, and a kayak trip to round out the camp experience. July 12-23, 2010 M-F 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thirty aspiring actors, dancers and singers will gather for two weeks of intense musical theater excitement. They will put together a mind-boggling, full-length show, and then bask in the applause of their parents, friends and fans on July 22. This will be the eighth year that Dawn Garrett-Larsen has written a play especially for the camp, interweaving fifteen to twenty show tunes from Broadway and the cinema. Melanie Everard and Jay Garrett-Larsen also return for another summer of theater exuberance! Kids come home from Theater Camp with an overpowering sense of accomplishment, an “original cast” CD recording of the show, and a DVD of the show’s world premier! $395 per session. Morning Theater Camp July 12-23, 2010 M-F 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Five and six year-olds will sing, dance, and act right along with the big kids, on the stage and in the lights. Well School preschool teacher Sarah Daume will help these young campers prepare one or more musical numbers for the big camp show on July 22. But it’s not all work and no play! Morning Theater campers will spend lots of time outside, playing in the woods and on the playground, dancing in the sprinkler, and exploring the fields and pond. They’ll also sing, dance, do arts and crafts projects, listen to stories, and have plenty of time for free play. $295 per session Summer Camp Registration Form

July 26 to August 6, 2010 M-F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Well School Outdoor Adventure Camp is your child’s ticket to a sun-drenched, water-drenched, fun-drenched summer! Campers play classic camp games like Ultimate Chicken, Capture the Flag, and Eskimo Baseball. They tackle obstacle courses, go mountain biking, practice their map, compass, and GPS skills, and go treasure hunting. They practice their kayak strokes in the school pond, then explore local lakes and rivers. They climb mountains, explore bogs, hunt for salamanders, and build survival shelters in the woods. Outdoor Adventure campers learn to pitch tents, build campfires, call owls, identify insects, and locate the summer constellations! This summer, staffers Moodus Rowland, Doreen Michelak, and Jay Garrett-Larsen return for two more weeks of outdoor exhilaration! $395 per session. Summer Camp Registration Form.
Young Explorers Morning Adventure Camp July 26 to August 6, 2010 M-F, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sarah Daume and one other adult leader will facilitate the Young Explorers Morning Adventure Camp, for up to twelve children ages 4 and 5. The Young Explorers program is a wonderful introduction to The Well School for children who will be entering preschool or kindergarten in the fall. Campers sing, dance, cook, paint, do crafts, listen to stories, explore the woods and fields, investigate the pond, frolic in the sprinkler, and play on the school’s playground. Young Explorers occasionally join the big kids for games and morning circle, but they spend most of their time as part of their smaller community. Young Explorers have exclusive access to the school’s kindergarten and preschool classrooms and playground. $295 per sesion. Summer Camp Registration Form.
