 | We are excited to share this new website with you. We are looking forward to building out this Alumni page as there are so many exciting things we have wanted to share with you but have not had the bandwidth or administrative support (we are still a tiny school!) to do so.
We still have coffee houses that we would love to invite you to. The students still perform and entertain the parents with beautiful music, the little ones still snuggle into the pillows near the stage or into the lap of an older child, and the coffee house that ends with a performance from a Well School Alum is cherished the most. Now you can find out on-line when the coffee houses are and surprise us with a visit!
While we never thought we could put on a fine drama production without Jay as the play’s Director, he has taught us hundreds of his tricks and methods, and all of our performances (we still do lots of Shakespeare) are magnificent! Find a play on our calendar that you were in when you were here and come see it! See if you remember any of your lines as they are spoken on our stage. See if you remember the feeling of intense excitement as the lights come on for Scene 1, Act 1. Now you can find out on-line when the performances are and surprise us with a visit. Reach out to another alum and ask them to join you!
Or come for a Poetry Recital – they are just as they were when you were a child, but will be a whole new experience for you as an adult. They are incredibly entertaining, even if you don’t know any of the students (actually there are so many Well School Alum’s children here that you are likely to recognize some of them!). Odds are you will hear a poem you recited as a child, and some of the words might even come back to you as you hear them float from the stage. You will be amazed at the poise of the children, the clarity of their voices, and the confidence with which they deliver their poem. Now you can find out on-line when the Poetry Recitals are and surprise us with a visit!
Better yet, surprise us for a visit on Wood Day. It is as fun as it always was, with wood being moved around the campus, bulbs being planted just like they always were, crates of fresh apples to crunch during break time, cider to quench a hard-working thirst, an old-fashioned wood-day lunch, followed by the same fun family soccer game. You will leave with a few new friends the same deep feeling of community you had at the end of Wood Day when you were here!
